REMEMBER - label all clothing
_________ scouting knife – locking blade, non-serrated edge
(to be handed into leaders)
Canadian Tire usually have a decent selection – a single locking blade works best.
_________ medication in original container (to be handed into leaders with instructions)
Small backpack to include:
_________ water bottle – filled
_________ sunglasses (optional)
_________ sun screen / insect repellent (optional)
_________ flashlight/headlamp (fresh batteries and spares)
_________ camera (optional)
_________ personal first aid kit – will be making one at meeting before.
_________ sleeping bag – ensure cub has proper sleeping bag it gets cool at night (should have temperature rating of approx. -10 C.)
_________ pillow
_________ sleeping buddy (optional)
_________ campfire blanket (optional) use as extra blanket if cold or fleece sleeping bag liner.
_________ p.j.’s – no cotton – suggest sweat pants & sweat shirt preferably with hood
_________ 1 toque (polar fleece recommended)
_________ warm bed socks
_________ lightweight gloves (polar fleece recommended)
_________ waterproof jacket, pants and boots
_________ hiking boots / runners
_________ 2 - pairs gloves
_________ 2 - pairs pants – no jeans
